Timothée Chalamet’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, is making her acting debut in the upcoming Charli XCX mockumentary, The Moment. Slated for release on January 30, 2026, the film follows a fictional Charli juggling music world pressures. Jenner appears as herself in a brief, notable role. The newly released trailer offers fans a first glimpse of her acting.
Kylie Jenner to make acting debut in The Moment
In the trailer, Kylie Jenner tells Charli XCX’s character, “The second people are getting sick of you, that’s when you need to go even harder.” Though her role is relatively small, the 28-year-old admitted on the Khloé in Wonderland podcast that she was nervous about stepping out of her comfort zone.
She revealed that even with plenty of lines, she spent days feeling scared to film her scenes in the movie, showing how much the role challenged her. “I was so scared for days to actually do it. I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid,” Jenner said.
The movie takes a page from real life, inspired by the pressure Charli XCX faced from her label while working on her Brat album and prepping for her tour. Charli told Vanity Fair that although it’s not a tour documentary or concert film, the idea came from the pressure to make one. She described the project as fiction, but said it’s the most honest portrayal of the music industry she’s ever seen.
Kylie Jenner, who’s been testing the waters in music with her first original track, Fourth Strike, under the alter-ego “King Kylie,” says trying new creative stuff is all part of her personal philosophy. She explained that approaching 30, she doesn’t want to look back with regrets, and trying new things has always been a goal. Her role in The Moment marks another step outside the “safe box” she’s carefully built around herself over the years.
