Jelly Roll Says His Sex Life Was ‘Horrible’ Before Losing 200 Pounds

Jelly Roll recently opened up about how his more than 200-pound weight loss changed his personal life, revealing that his size previously made intimacy with his wife, Bunnie Xo, extremely difficult.

Jelly Roll details his sex life amid weight loss

Jelly Roll detailed his sex life amid weight loss while speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he admitted just how much his weight affected his confidence and ability to be intimate. “My s*x life was horrible,” he said, explaining that during his heaviest years, getting into the mood was nearly impossible. “I couldn’t even get aroused, I was so big,” he added.

The singer emphasized that his wife, Bunnie Xo, was never the issue. Instead, he joked about how ironic it felt, considering who he had married. “Dude, I married a f***ing big-ti**ied, blond, beautiful woman, you know what I mean?” he told the host. “I married the kind of woman that makes you smile when you cry.”

Still, intimacy came with physical challenges. Jelly Roll quipped that sex often resembled a full-body puzzle. “I was having to play Twister to have sex.” He added with humor, “Left foot here, right foot on the X… Are we in there yet? Tell me if you feel something.” Eventually, he admitted, “I mean, it was bad.”

Beyond it all, Jelly Roll became emotional describing how his addiction and weight affected the people closest to him. “I realized that in addiction, the family will kind of cater to the addict,” he said. “I realized then how much my addiction was hurting this family.” The rapper previously weighed 550 pounds and has been steadily losing weight since beginning his health journey in 2022.

During a December 2024 appearance on Bunnie’s Dumb Blonde podcast, he reflected on how long it took him to seek change. “I cannot believe I walked around like a 550-pound zombie for years,” he said, adding, “I’m sorry it took so long.” All in all, Jelly Roll continues to speak openly about his weight loss, addiction, and efforts to rebuild both his health and his marriage.
