Whoopi Goldberg and Leslie Jones recently shared a sweet moment in the latest episode of “The View.” On December 9’s installment, the comedian appeared on the talk show as a guest to promote her new standup special called “Life Part 2.” Within a few minutes of her arrival, Jones was seen sweating profusely, struggling with hot flashes. Although Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar used their cue cards to fan her, she was especially touched when Goldberg helped her wipe her sweat.
Whoopi Goldberg helps Leslie Jones through menopausal hot flash on The View
The latest episode of Whoopi Goldberg’s “The View” welcomed Leslie Jones as a guest. She and the panel of co-hosts initially joked about Christmas gifts. The comedian quipped, saying that she never enjoyed the festivities because she didn’t understand the concept of giving gifts to someone else on Jesus’ birthday. After the fun conversation, Sunny Hostin shifted to the topic of the actress’s new standup set, “Leslie Jones: Life Part 2.”
Before she could explain and promote her upcoming special, Jones was seen sweating a lot. When others pointed out the same, she mentioned that she has been going through menopausal hot flashes. Despite wiping with a napkin, she continued sweating. So, Hostin and Joy Behar, who were sitting on either side of her, used their cue cards to fan her.
A few moments later, Jones, still sweating, began to talk about her new set. But before she could speak more, the standup artist was in awe of Goldberg. The latter got up from her seat and helped her wipe off the sweat. “This is a dream come true,” Jones exclaimed, “Whoopi Goldberg wiping my sweat.”
While the audience laughed and cheered, the co-hosts stated that it was a “beautiful moment.” Meanwhile, the 70-year-old continued to help Jones with a handkerchief. When the EGOT recipient unfolded the napkin and started to fan Jones, the latter seemed to enjoy the moment. However, the scene turned out to be especially funny because she appeared to be distracted and didn’t listen to Hostin’s question.
