Pamela Anderson has opened up about her past romance with Liam Neeson. After a big year in her career, she finally shared what really happened between her and her The Naked Gun co-star, clearing up rumors and setting the record straight.

Pamela Anderson said she and Liam Neeson dated for a short time after filming The Naked Gun. In her new PEOPLE cover story, she discussed their brief but meaningful connection. Anderson confirmed their relationship by saying, “If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming.”
Anderson said they spent an “intimate week” together at Neeson’s home in upstate New York. She noted that she had her own room and that their assistants, as well as some family members, also visited. They later went to a small French restaurant where Neeson introduced her as the “future Mrs. Neeson.”
She also recalled helping in his garden, saying, “I tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint … I was happy to help, and he appreciated.” After their “romantic lost week,” which even saw Neeson chasing a bear away in his bathrobe, they went back to their separate film projects.
They reunited while promoting The Naked Gun, holding hands and sharing playful moments. She also talked about how she gave him a swipe of her Sonsie lip balm on Andy Cohen’s show. “We were having fun,” she added, describing their relationship as “a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film.”
Pamela Anderson laughed at the idea that their romance was staged. “I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings,'” she shared.
Even though they cared for each other, she acknowledged their current situation. Anderson said, “I adore Liam, but we are better friends, in full honesty.” She added, “He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me. I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”
They last met in August when Liam Neeson surprised her at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
