Kelsea Ballerini tells concertgoer to ‘f*** off’ for yelling ex-husband’s name
Kelsea Ballerini and her ex-husband, Morgan Evans, have been divorced for three years. But a concertgoer at the “Cowboys Cry Too” singer’s Sydney gig mentioned his name at the beginning of a set. This seemed to have frustrated the 32-year-old musician, who responded, “F*** Off.”
A video from the concert went viral that captured the moment when Ballerini heard a person from the crowd shouting, “Team Morgan!” It showed the songwriter singing an emotional song, “Penthouse.” The crowd crooned with her, but one concertgoer seemed to have ruined the vibe when they yelled Ballerini’s ex-husband’s name.
Instantly, the fans shouted “No” and booed that person. Meanwhile, Ballerini stopped singing and cussed at the rude concertgoer, which led to a big cheer from the crowd. Seeing the reaction, the performer looked at that person and said, “See? Everyone’s happy.” She smiled and gave a thumbs-up to her supporters before flipping the finger at the particular attendee.
Later, Ballerini addressed the incident on her Instagram Story, which is currently not available. She shared an online user’s post from the night and wrote a paragraph with a warning. “Respectfully, if anyone yells anything disrespectful to anyone during this song again, it will no longer be on the set list,” the artist mentioned.
Furthermore, she urged netizens to let the emotional track be a “song that matters to people.” She warned concert attendees not to turn the event into a “place to insert yourself into a world that doesn’t exist and was never yours to begin with.” Taking a dig at the rude concertgoer, she ended the paragraph with “team everyone’s happy or bust.”
