71-Year-Old Bobby Kennedy Can Probably Do More Pull-Ups Than You

Bobby Kennedy, 71, is fitter than most people his age. Kennedy, the current United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, recently entered a pull-up contest with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy at Ronald Reagan National Airport while showing off a new billion-dollar investment to upgrade airports across the country.

The new upgrades are aiming to make travel more family-friendly. It allows new mothers to breastfeed with more privacy at airports and a more family-friendly environment.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., AKA Bobby Kennedy, got into a pull-up contest with Sean Duffy as he flexed a lucrative $1 billion deal to restructure and modernize existing facilities at airports. Dressed in a crisp full-sleeve blue shirt, dark trousers, and a navy blue tie, Kennedy, 71, impressed attendees with his impressive stamina and fitness.

Ultimately, fitness guru Dr. Paul Saladino ranked first with 21 pull-ups. However, Bobby Kennedy, despite his age, was not far behind at 20 pull-ups. Duffy only managed half of Kennedy’s record with a decent 10. His daughter outperformed him with 13 pull-ups.

Netizens have lavished praise on Kennedy’s fitness prowess. One user commented, “71 with 20 pull-ups? That’s not policy — that’s performance art.” Another user marveled, “71 and repping out pull-ups? Bro’s built different.” A third user wrote, “20 pull-ups are a signal that goes way beyond fitness. It’s about obsessive discipline. You see that level of commitment, you know he won’t be easily swayed on policy either.”

Finally, another user commented, “Imagine being 71 and casually banging out 20 pull-ups in dress clothes because someone dared you. Then imagine being 35 and struggling to do 5. RFK Jr. isn’t asking America to get healthy—he’s showing us it’s possible. This is what leading by example looks like.”

Previously, Kennedy and Duff had teamed up to launch the “Make Travel Family Friendly Again” initiative, using $1 billion in funding already approved by Congress.

Kennedy, a frequent flier, explained the need to offer healthier food options versus junk and processed foods. He cited the Farmer’s Fridge dispensary as the model he wants airports to adopt.

Kennedy stated, “Everyone who passes through an airport in this country should have access to fresh, whole foods. Secretary Duffy and I are working to ensure our airports set the standard for a future where healthy eating is part of daily life — travel days included.” (via Hindustan Times).
