Donald Trump Calls Female Journalist ‘Obnoxious’ For Asking Questions

President Donald Trump targeted another female journalist with personal insults this week, calling an ABC News reporter “obnoxious” and “terrible” during a White House exchange. This incident is the latest in a series of contentious confrontations between Trump and members of the press corps, particularly women, over recent weeks.

During the roundtable, Trump gave an update on a long-awaited farm aid package before opening the floor for questions. ABC News Reporter Rachel Scott asked about the recent military strike on a Venezuelan boat allegedly carrying illegal drugs and whether the administration would release the full video of the incident.

When the female journalist asked, “Are you committed to releasing the full video?” Trump snapped back, “Didn’t I just tell you that?” He went further, telling her, “You are the most obnoxious reporter in the whole place… a terrible reporter. And it’s always the same thing with you. I told you.” (via People)

Scott’s exchange with the president came just days after Trump targeted another female journalist. In a weekend rant, he referred to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on his Truth Social page as “Caitlin Collin’s of Fake News CNN.” Further, claimed she is “always Stupid and Nasty,” adding that the network’s ratings are “not even counted or relevant anymore. MAGA!!!”

These incidents follow a series of bashing of female journalists by Donald Trump throughout November. On November 14, aboard Air Force One, Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey began to question Trump about “incriminating” Epstein emails when he pointed a finger in her face and told her, “Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.”

Four days later, during an Oval Office press conference with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump lashed out at ABC News’ Mary Bruce when she attempted to ask about Epstein. “You know, it’s not the question that I mind. It’s your attitude,” he told her, later adding, “You’re a terrible person and a terrible reporter.” Meanwhile, the White House has repeatedly defended Trump’s remarks.
