Taylor Swift’s friend isn’t hiding her support for Travis Kelce even after a rough Kansas City Chiefs loss. The filmmaker shared a “love you” message for the tight end following the team’s defeat against the Houston Texans.
Lena Dunham has a message for Travis Kelce
Lena Dunham showed her support for Taylor Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, after she attended the Kansas City Chiefs game on December 7, alongside Taylor Swift and producer Michael P. Cohen. The Girls creator later posted an Instagram carousel on December 8, where she not only celebrated her “first home team” experience but also gave Kelce a direct shoutout.
“My first home team (I happen to be a New Yorker who lives in London who roots for Kansas City, so sue me),” Dunham wrote as she shared selfies from the Arrowhead suite. Although her photos didn’t feature Swift, the director proudly posed in Chiefs gear and joked about her rapidly growing collection of team merch. “If you see me in a new piece of Chiefs merch every day for the next 17 months, blame @handler.official and keep moving,” she wrote, adding, “She’s in her sports era,” in a nod to Swift.
Dunham also poked fun at her unexpected interest in football, saying her parents “have questions” because they once “spent my childhood having to ask me to do light laps of the apartment during the summers so I didn’t get bed sores!” She ended her post with a sweet message for Kelce: “Love you @killatrav.”
Dunham wasn’t the only familiar face in the suite. Selena Gomez also joined the group as they watched the Chiefs fall 20–10 to the Texans. The Chiefs’ tight end endured a tough game as in the late fourth quarter, with Kansas City trailing 10–17, Travis Kelce dropped a crucial pass from Patrick Mahomes. Under pressure from the Texans’ defense, the ball slipped through his hands and into the arms of linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair.
