Busta Rhymes Snaps at TikToker Who Called Him ‘Tracy Morgan’

Busta Rhymes shut down a viral prank at Art Basel after a TikToker tried to joke by calling him Tracy Morgan. The rapper, who was taking a moment to pose for fans, didn’t hold back when he realized the content creator was attempting to troll him.

Busta Rhymes’ weekend at Art Basel in Miami went viral after a TikTok prankster tried to film a joke at his expense. In a video posted by TMZ, the creator stands beside Rhymes for a photo and suddenly says Tracy, referring to comedian Tracy Morgan. The comment immediately stops the interaction.

“Wait, wait, wait. What’d you just say?” Rhymes asks in the clip. He then firmly shuts the moment down: “Put your camera down… I’m taking a picture to show love, and you’re trying to be funny… You don’t play with a grown man, little boy. That’s how people get f**ked up.

The confrontation isn’t completely out of the blue, as people have trolled Rhymes with Tracy Morgan comparisons before. Back in 2020, Rhymes shared a fitness transformation on Instagram with the caption: “DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!! LIFE BEGINS RIGHT NOW!!! MY DEDICATION IS DIFFERENT!! I WOULD NEVER PUT OUT AN ALBUM AND NOT BE IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!! I RESPECT MYSELF TOO MUCH AND I RESPECT Y’ALL TOO MUCH!!! I’M ONLY HERE TO INSPIRE!!”

Shortly after, 50 Cent reposted an older photo of Busta and Morgan with the caption: “They really kinda look alike right LOL. He gonna curse me out when he wake up.” (via HNHH)

The moment at Art Basel adds to the ongoing pattern of online jokes directed at the rapper, though Rhymes’ reaction this weekend suggests he has little patience left for the comparison, especially when it interrupts fan interactions. In other developments, he announced in August that he is working on a new album titled Vengeance.
