As a mark of their friendship, Gomez is putting in a lot of effort to arrange a flawless bachelorette party for Swift, which will be a multi-destination trip. Still, she didn’t accept the “Blank Space” singer’s request to be her bridesmaid on her wedding day.
According to The Daily Mail, Gomez has a specific reason behind turning down her friend’s valued proposal. An insider recently spoke to the media outlet and revealed the exact reason behind the 33-year-old’s refusal to be Swift’s bridesmaid on her wedding day.
It seems that Gomez realizes that her attendance at Swift’s wedding as her bridesmaid will steal a lot of the spotlight from her friend on the most special day of her life. Hence, she denied Swift’s offer.
The insider continued, “Taylor asked Selena to be a bridesmaid, but Selena told her it could take too much of the focus away from her on her big day. But Taylor won’t give up. She’s not taking no for an answer. She’s asked Selena a few times and has got a ‘No, but I love you’ reply.”
