Grammy Nominations 2016: Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift Lead Nominees

The Grammy Award nominations for 2016 are upon us, and it’s little surprise that Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly – the latter being Crave’s top pick on our Albums of The Year list – have taken the lion’s share of potential golden honors.

Alicia Keys revealed four of the biggest categories on CBS Monday morning, revealing a strong lead for Lamar with 11 nominations. The award show’s biggest category, Album of the Year, is a hotly competitive run this year, including Sound and Color by Alabama Shakes, To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar,  Chris Stapleton’s Traveller, Swift’s 1989, and the Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness.

Congrats to Album Of The Year nominees: Alabama Shakes, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd #GRAMMYs
