Kim Kardashian Was Once Held at Gunpoint During Trip to Uganda With Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are no longer together. However, before their relationship ended, Kardashian experienced several frightening moments, including an incident in Uganda when someone allegedly pointed a gun at her.

In a recent authorized biography, Citizen Kim, author Jonathan Van Meter shared a glimpse into Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s tumultuous relationship. One particularly frightening incident from 2018 was recounted by Farnaz Farjam, an executive producer of the E! reality series.

Recalling the events to Van Meter, Farjam said the couple was filming at a remote location in Uganda when West became paranoid and agitated. “He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms,” she recalled.

Van Meter noted that during the raid, “one of the policemen had a gun to Kim’s head.” Describing the ordeal as an intense breaking point, Farjam added that Kardashian ultimately had to charter a private jet to evacuate her production crew from the country.

Kim Kardashian opens up about co-parenting with Kanye West after their divorce

In interviews for the biography, Kardashian admitted that despite her strained relationship with West, she remains deeply invested in his well-being. “That’s the father of my kids. I’ll never not worry about him,” she stated, noting that co-parenting under difficult circumstances presents significant emotional hurdles.

The 46-year-old star further reflected on how she tries her best not to dwell on the past. She added, “I do everything in my power to forget about all the negative things that happened.”

Kardashian continues to maintain a cordial relationship with West as they co-parent their children. “I have to be realistic, and my therapist definitely tells me, ‘Your boundaries have to go up,’ but we manage to co-parent without too much conflict,” she added. Moreover, to help her children build memories with their father, she regularly offers to let West host family dinners without her presence.
