What is Succubus with Ron Perlman about?
Succubus sees a new father, Chris, played by Brendan Bradley, struggling with fatigue and emotional insecurities. He is going through a troubled marriage with his estranged wife, Sharon. His friend Eddie tells him to find other options using dating apps so that he can have someone new in his life.
Chris initially hesitates to go this route as he still has feelings for Sharon. But he finally decides to join a dating app. Luckily, he spots the profile of a very gorgeous and seductive young woman, Adra, played by Rachel Cook. While her appearance attracts Chris, her face somehow stays hidden due to a phone held by her in the profile picture. Chris still swipes right on her, and they eventually end up matching.
However, things don’t end on a good note for Chris. The story starts taking a sinister twist after Adra shows signs of being inhuman. She is eventually revealed to be a haunting, shapeshifting succubus after Chris, his friend Eddie, and Dr. Orion Zephyr, played by Ron Perlman, circle her.
Producers on the indie horror film include Todd Slater, Anna Elizabeth James, Ari Novak, Ron Perlman, and R.J. Daniel Hanna.
