But it’s December 25, 1999: the storm of the century is about to ravage France. Trapped by torrential flooding and 200 km/h winds, Chloé and Erwan will have to fight to survive. What happens in the new Storm trailer?
The brief Storm trailer recreates the horrific night when France was hit by the storm of the century. On December 25, 1999, the deadly flood hit the country, leaving many dead, lost, and struggling for survival. The plot of the movie is about a blind teenager, Chloé, played by Clara Pacini, who tries to make it through the night after being separated from her mother.
A popular boy from Chloé’s school, Erwan, played by Bach Buquen, tries to help her and fight the storm together with courage and will. The trailer also teases how Chloé’s disability may actually become her biggest asset in surviving the disaster.
Storm’s ensemble cast also features Roxane Mesquida (Kaboom), Félix Moati (Des Vivants), and Artemisia Toussaint (Demain nous appartient). Matthieu Rumani and Nicolas Slomka have co-written the story. They have previously worked on the French Prime Original series Culte.
The film is produced by Screenline and Vodka & Caramel. The latest project is a new addition to Prime Video’s Young Adult slate in France, following the launch of streaming hit You+Me – Against the World earlier this year.
Storm comes out on Prime Video on January 15, 2027.
