Scarlet Witch fans just got some exciting news. There’s a possible fight brewing between the character and Doctor Doom. Reports have also provided major insights about Elizabeth Olsen’s MCU future.
According to an update from scooper James Mack, Scarlet Witch will fight MCU Phase 6’s big bad, Doctor Doom. A post from Claire Brooke on X read, “I talked to a friend of mine who’s working on the visual art side of Avengers: Secret Wars, and he told me that Scarlet Witch will fight Doom once her memories come back.” The scooper acknowledged the news via his own post.
Adding to that, Mack also claimed that Olsen will continue to reprise the role of Scarlet Witch in the upcoming Marvel movies, and a solo movie is just around the corner. The post read, “And the Scarlet Witch movie is coming sooner than you think, and obviously, Elizabeth Olsen will return to the role.”
However, despite the exciting updates, these are only rumors. At the time of writing, Marvel has not confirmed anything about Scarlet Witch’s solo movies or her probable rift with Victor Von Doom.
Where did we last see Scarlet Witch in the MCU?
Elizabeth Olsen last appeared as Wanda Maximoff in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The plot of the film revolves around Doctor Strange trying to save America Chavez from Scarlet Witch, who aims to steal her power.
Olsen’s character was last spotted at Mount Wundagore, where she collapsed the ruins of the temple and the mountain on herself. Throughout the film, she tries to take help from the Darkhold to fulfill her desire to get back her imaginary family by tapping into America Chavez’ powers. But in the final scene, she uses chaos magic to destroy the Darkhold and every copy of the same across the entire multiverse. A massive red flash of energy hinted at her apparent death; however, the MCU hasn’t confirmed it.
