Avengers: Doomsday‘s post-credits scene will reportedly feature an “insane” twist with the return of an iconic MCU character. Joe and Anthony Russo helm the upcoming superhero epic.
Reliable insider My Time To Shine Hello claimed that “The whole internet will go insane” once Doomsday’s post-credits scene leaks online.
Notably, the scooper attached a GIF of Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff with the X post while appearing to tease her return. Played by Elizabeth Olsen, the character was last seen in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and was presumed dead at the end.
While the insider has a credible track record, fans should take everything with a grain of salt unless Marvel shares an official update on Wanda.
Why fans think Scarlet Witch could be central to the post-credits mystery
The latest rumor comes from the same scooper who previously claimed that Elizabeth Olsen will appear in Avengers: Doomsday’s post-credits scene. My Time To Shine Hello also claimed a few days ago that Wanda’s role might be small in Doomsday, but she will have “huge” relevance in Secret Wars’ storyline.
At the end of Multiverse of Madness, Scarlet Witch/Wanda was seen destroying the Darkhold before being buried beneath Mount Wundagore. Since then, there’s been no mention of her in any subsequent MCU project.
If she returns in Doomsday, fans will be curious to know how Marvel justifies her appearance. At the moment, all unverified rumors and claims should be treated with great caution.
Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on December 18, 2026. Its ensemble cast will feature Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom, alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Other key cast members include Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, and more.
