Filmmaker Lauren Miller Rogen revealed how she directed the intimate scenes between her husband and Anna Kendrick in her latest comedy movie. The real-life couple discussed the on-set experiences at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Lauren addressed the situation of directing Seth’s romantic scenes with Kendrick in Babies, which premiered at TIFF 2026. On the set, the 44-year-old filmmaker was unfiltered while filming the couple’s kissing scenes in the movie. “I was like, ‘Can you get closer? Closer, touch her back!'” she recalled, adding that she even shouted, “Touch all of her body.”
Kendrick added that the trio originally envisioned a modest kiss between the married characters before she advocated for a more passionate take, “I was the first one to be like, ‘Should we smooch? I feel like we should smooch!'”
“She seemed pretty into it, honestly,” Seth Rogen told the audience, bringing laughs. Lauren added that her husband, 44, has “made out with so many beautiful women,” making the experience feel like “just another one on the list.”
