In a new social media post, Diesel shared a video tribute to Parton where he sings ‘I Will Always Love You.’ The song was originally recorded by Parton in 1973, becoming one of her most successful songs that charted twice to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. Diesel did not add anything else to the post’s caption, except for a single emoji signifying praying.

Diesel isn’t the only one who posted a tribute to the late singer. Following news of her death, several influential people, including President Donald Trump, paid their respects to Parton. Trump called Parton one of the greatest country singers ever, and ordered American flags across the United States to fly at half-staff for a full week to honor her legacy.
Fellow singers and songwriters Taylor Swift, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, and other musicians also posted their own tributes to Parton. Swift, who began her career in country music, called Parton “true grace and true grit, all in one dazzling person.” Eminem, well-known for his rap songs, also called her “an icon”, sharing a letter he once received from her.
Parton’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, also shared a heartfelt tribute to Parton, calling her “an angel” and sharing that one of the last conversations they had was about “music and metamorphosis.” Other figures who also paid their respects to Parton and her legacy include Beyoncé, Elton John, Céline Dion, and more.
