Kevin Hart & Henry Cavill’s Netflix Spy Movie Adds Succession, Harry Potter Stars

Netflix’s upcoming spy comedy starring Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill has added three new actors, including stars from Succession and Harry Potter.

The new original film was announced earlier this year and will be directed by McG. The filmmaker previously helmed well-known action and comedy films like Charlie’s Angels, Terminator: Salvation, This Means War, The Babysitter, and more.

As reported by Variety, Justine Lupe, Jason Isaacs, and Aja Naomi King have joined the film, though details about their characters remain under wraps. Isaacs previously played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter film franchise, and Lupe played Willa Ferreyra in HBO’s Succession. The film has yet to be titled officially, but fans can get an idea of what its story will entail after the release of its logline.

“When two rival spies cross paths in a Lamaze class and their wives become fast friends, their double lives collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways, forcing the two men to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood,” reads the film’s logline.

How Shawn Levy is shaping Netflix’s Kevin Hart-Henry Cavill spy movie

Shawn Levy is set to produce the film alongside Dan Levine for 21 Laps, continuing Levy’s long-standing relationship with Netflix following his work on Stranger Things. The producing team also includes Ryan Reynolds, Ashley Fox, and Johnny Pariseau for Maximum Effort, Kevin Hart, Luke Kelly-Clyne, and Bryan Smiley for Hartbeat; as well as director McG.

Hart’s partnership with Netflix continues with Cold as Balls returning later this year. The platform also renewed Funny AF with Kevin Hart earlier this year and has recently featured in the Netflix comedy film 72 Hours.

The untitled film is being written by Jonathan Tropper, Adam and Aaron Nee, and sisters Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux. Netflix has yet to officially announce a release date for the film.
