Netflix’s upcoming comedy sequel Grown Ups 3 is expanding its star-studded cast with two new additions. Just a day after filming reportedly began, a new report confirmed the hilarious cast members joining Adam Sandler.
According to Deadline, Deon Cole and Bailee Madison have joined the cast of Grown Ups 3 as production gets underway. Cole recently appeared as Don King in the box-office biopic Michael. He is also known for his roles in Black-ish and Average Joe. Meanwhile, Madison previously worked with Sandler in Just Go With It and recently starred in Roommates and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Netflix announced the project earlier this year, more than a decade after Grown Ups 2 debuted in 2013. While details about Cole’s and Madison’s characters remain secret, their additions will bring a fresh comedy take to the fan-favorite franchise.
Who else is starring in Grown Ups 3?
Cole and Madison join a returning ensemble led by Sandler. David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, Kevin James, and Salma Hayek are all set to reprise their roles, bringing back the original group of childhood friends.
Netflix announced the sequel during its Upfront presentation in May 2026. Kyle Newacheck, known for Happy Gilmore 2 and Murder Mystery, is directing the film. The Emmy-nominated director previously worked with Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2.
Adam Sandler also co-wrote the screenplay with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy. Both of them are also serving as producers alongside Jackie Sandler and Jack Giarraputo. Kevin Grady and Judit Maull are executive producers.
While plot details of the film remain unknown, two of its earlier installments followed a group of childhood friends reuniting as adults during a vacation. Together, they face bizarre situations, leading to plenty of family chaos and comedy. Despite receiving a negative reception, both films became huge hits at the box office.
With filming underway and two new cast additions, fans can expect more announcements from Netflix before its theatrical debut, whose release date is unknown.
