A renowned Pitch Perfect star has joined Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid’s Secret sequel movie. The second part of the original thriller will see Paul Feig returning as the director.
Brittany Snow, mostly known for the Pitch Perfect movie franchise, will play a major role in The Housemaid sequel, led by Sydney Sweeney, who will reprise her popular role of Wilhelmina “Millie” Calloway.
As for Snow’s role, she will play Marybeth. Lionsgate’s The Housemaid’s Secret is going to be based on the 2023 book of the same name by Freida McFadden.
What else has The Housemaid’s Secret’s Brittany Snow been in besides Pitch Perfect?
Brittany Snow has also earned laurels with her work in other acclaimed projects, such as Lionsgate Television’s hit TV series, The Hunting Wives. She was also featured in Netflix’s Emmy-nominated limited TV series, The Beast in Me, alongside Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes, among others. Snow was also seen in 2022’s horror mystery movie, X, alongside Mia Goth and Jenna Ortega.
The actress is also known for her role in New Line Cinema’s John Tucker Must Die. Her other popular projects include The Night Agent, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, and the Academy Award-nominated short movie Red, White and Blue.
Speaking more of Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid’s Secret movie, it will also feature other notable cast members, including Michele Morrone, Kirsten Dunst, and Paul Anthony Kelly.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “In The Housemaid’s Secret, Millie returns, taking a job keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see, only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own.”
The upcoming movie has Carly Elter as the executive producer alongside Alex Young. Kaylee McGregor will serve as the co-producer. Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted McFadden’s first book, will return to write the story of The Housemaid sequel as well.
The Housemaid’s Secret hits theaters on December 17, 2027.
