Avengers: Secret Wars will be one of the biggest MCU movies. Rumors point to two huge Disney+ stars joining the post-Doomsday mayhem.
Who has reportedly joined the Avengers: Secret Wars cast?
According to a recent report, Ironheart and Mephisto characters are expected to make an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars. Taking to X, @Beyondreporter1 shared, “Ironheart and Mephisto Will Appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.” Such an announcement is enough to get MCU fans excited, but they might want to wait a bit before getting hyped up. After all, the rumor has not been confirmed by Marvel yet.
Mephisto has been a nightmarish villain in the Marvel comics. Post-Avengers: Endgame, when WandaVision dropped, speculations of Mephisto joining the MCU were at an all-time high. Sadly, the studio decided to pour cold water on fans’ hopes when Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness was revealed to be the villain of the series.
Thankfully, fans finally got to see Mephisto in Ironheart. In the series’ sixth episode, it was revealed that the villainous Parker Robin had made a deal with Mephisto. This deal granted Robin wealth alongside the Hood, in return for, as Mephisto summed up, “something you won’t even miss.” Surprisingly, Riri Williams, too, could be seen making a similar deal when she got her best friend, Natalie, back from the dead.

Now, it’s unclear what exact price Ironheart had to pay for making the deal. And it’s also under wraps whether the duo’s appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars will explore the storyline about what actually happened. Currently, all eyes are on MCU’s upcoming December release, Avengers: Doomsday. With Doctor Doom set up as the big bad after Thanos, it remains to be seen how the Earth’s mightiest heroes tackle the threat.
Avengers: Doomsday will release on December 18, 2026.
