Another rumor has hit the X-Men Reboot casting for Rogue. An actress who previously starred in Alien: Romulus would be the mutant in the MCU reboot according to a new scoop.
Who is now rumored to be Rogue in the new X-Men MCU movie?
The X-Men Reboot casting rumors are a hot topic for MCU fans lately. Many rumors, including Adam Driver for Magneto or Mister Sinister and Margot Robbie for Mystique, are already out. A recent scoop suggests the Alien: Romulus actress Cailee Spaeny is the rumored new Rogue.
This scoop came from @MyTimeToShineH, where it was reported that the actress is now Marvel Studios’ and filmmaker Jake Schreier’s top choice to play Rogue.
Spaeny is also known for her roles in Priscilla, Civil War, Wake Up Dead Man, and Pacific Rim Uprising. If the studio confirms her role as the mutant, it would mark her MCU debut.
Apart from her, Driver, and Robbie, other casting rumors also included Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Peter Claffey, Bill Skarsgård, Cooper Hoffman, Inde Navarrette, and Odessa A’zion. The latter is also a rumored Rogue for the reboot.
Additionally, Sadie Sink’s undisclosed role in the upcoming Spider-Man movie links her to playing Jean Grey. If this is true, she would be the first confirmed cast member of the X-Men Reboot.
That said, all of this is only a rumor, and it should be treated as such, since no casting for the X-Men MCU movie has been officially announced yet. Moreover, the director addressed these before stating, “I can tell you most of the stuff that gets posted online, I don’t know where it comes from, because it doesn’t come from our room, and it isn’t what we’re discussing. But there is a process.”
As of now, the plot details, cast, and crew members are all kept under wraps. The project is still in the early stages of production. However, it’s also confirmed that writers Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo are actively working on drafting the script.
