Kristen Bell‘s beloved romantic comedy receives a major update after almost two decades. Co-star Jason Segel teased the possibility of a sequel in a recent interview.
What Kristen Bell comedy movie could get a sequel?
Forgetting Sarah Marshall was one of Kristen Bell’s hit rom-coms, with Jason Segel, Mila Kunis, Paul Rudd, and Jonah Hill. In a recent interview with The Direct for Segel’s Shrinking, he teased that he had an “idea” for Forgetting Sarah Marshall 2 and that they are slowly “getting there.”
After playing Dracula’s Lament at Sam Jones’ Talent Show at LA’s Hotel Cafe, the beloved comedy fans have been wondering whether he will reprise his role as Peter, who has a secret passion project involving Dracula rock operas performed by puppets.
When asked if audiences are ever going to see the full rock opera of Dracula’s Lament, Segel stated, “We have been talking about it; I will tell you. That’s all I can say. Yeah, every once in a while, I get an itch, and I get my puppet, because I have him, and I go perform live somewhere. But I still dream of doing that musical. I have an idea for how to do it, too. So, we’re getting there.”

When directly asked about a sequel, he said, “It would all be one thing. I got an idea. I have an idea.”
Forgetting Sarah Marshall follows Peter Bretter as he tries to move on from his longtime girlfriend, Sarah Marshall, after she leaves him for a British rock star, Aldous Snow. In an effort to escape his heartbreak, Peter befriends a woman named Rachel, and their friendship grows into something far more meaningful.
A spin-off titled Get Him to the Greek was made in 2010, centering on the British rock star Aldous Snow’s trip from London to Los Angeles with escort Aaron Green. The film included a nod to Snow’s past relationship with Sarah, with a brief appearance by Kristen Bell.
