Biggest New Year’s Eve Parties From Coast To Coast

It seems that Canadians love to welcome a New Year with some of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties from coast to coast. Here are just a few ways to welcome 2016 with a bang.

Montreal

Merry Montreal, which is now in its third year, recently announced plans for its annual NYE bash, and there’s no shortage of cool things to do. Starting at 7pm and completely free, the Old Port and Place Jacques-Cartier will come alive with Montreal’s biggest New Year’s Eve party! On hand will be Dumas, Yann Perrault and Cœur de Pirate! At the stroke of midnight, marvel at the Coca-Cola fireworks and dance the night away until 2am to the sounds of DJ VitoV.

Toronto

There is certainly a lot going on in Toronto December 31st, from club and hotel events to huge parties. Hilton Toronto is hosting a “Minutes to Midnight” with music and dancing in the hotel’s ballroom, or take part in the adventurous club & pub crawl, where you can check out four of the hottest bars and clubs in the city. There are also festivities at Red Nightclub (with $100 bottles of champagne), ACE Nightclub for GLAM New Year’s 2016, Majestic New Year’s Eve at the upscale Fairmont Royal York, or Miss Universe Canada 2016 NYE Gala hosted By Miss Universe: Paola Nunez and the girls of Miss Universe with international model/DJ WM.

Vancouver

They may ring in 2016 a bit later than its Eastern neighbours, but that doesn’t mean the celebrations are any less festive. Vancouver will host one of its biggest parties yet on Canada Place Way between Howe and Burrard streets – New Year’s Eve Vancouver is downtown Vancouver’s only waterfront celebration to ring in 2016. It will feature free music on the Main Stage, various sponsored exhibitions, food trucks, live on-site broadcasts, and a midnight countdown with spectacular fireworks over Coal Harbour. Festivities kick off at 6pm.

There are also annual New Year’s Eve parties in Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls New Year’s concert in Queen Victoria Park), Ottawa (with lights, events and fireworks), Calgary (be sure to attend one of the Club Mystique events, from the nightclub with a fabulous gourmet buffet, or you can sip a martini in the Skyy Vodka Lounge with their special guest DJ), and Quebec City (the views from Chateau Frontenac are second-to-none).

Happy New Year! Be safe!
