While it may be true that most of today’s technology seems to separate us from nature, it really comes down to ourselves and how we choose to use it. Instead of isolating ourselves in virtual realities and losing touch with what’s real, we could actually use what we have to go into the wild and explore all its beauty. So, for example, a good off-road vehicle could help you discover new places and extend your reach. In order to help you in those natural quests, we’ve compiled a list of the best off-road vehicles that are worth the money. Take a look at our collection.

Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

Over the years, Toyota has made a name for itself as one of the leaders in the ORV production. Ever since their reputable Land Cruiser series, they’ve worked towards modernizing and improving the off-road experience for their clients. Their 2016 limited edition of 4Runner TRD pro vehicles showcases all of their greatest qualities. When it came out, numerous drivers started complaining about its soft suspension and lack of speed, but they failed to realize that Toyota was going for durability above anything else. True to the original Land Cruiser series, this vehicle is simple in design and quite reliable. Pro is also ever so slightly higher than other 4Runners, which offers you a smoother ride and more maneuverability. So, if you’re looking for a good, old-school off-road vehicle, 4Runner TRD is a great choice, especially the pro version if you can get hold of it.

Toyota Land Cruiser

We’ve mentioned the famous Land Cruiser, but it doesn’t live only off its old fame. The 2017 version is an entirely modern approach to the old concept and it works great if you’ve got the money to buy it. The price never drops below $80,000 but you need to understand exactly what you’re getting for it. First of all, Land Cruiser is, no doubt, a capable off-road vehicle that will offer you a smooth ride, as well as a luxurious inside. Even with a standard model, you get a rear seat DVD entertainment system along with two fairly large screens to keep the children satisfied during the ride. Of course, Land Cruiser also lets you customize seat position however you like it, as well as the tilt steering wheel. If you’re not willing to sacrifice your comfort for the genuine off-road experience and have some spare cash lying around, Land Cruiser is a natural choice for you.

Land Rover Range Rover

Obviously, we can’t talk about best off-road vehicles and leave out the epic Range Rover. While one of the reasons Range Rover even became famous was its ability to create a balance between great performance and extreme comfort, the 2017 version seems to be more focused on the car’s luxury. Regardless of that, Range Rover still offers an exceptional off-road experience that is based on the Terrain Response system, which automatically adjusts the wheels for a smoother and more powerful ride. Even water is no problem for Range Rover as it can easily cross up to three feet of water without breaking down. Of course, the price may be off-putting, but keep in mind that you’re paying for its name and when it comes to Range Rover, it really means a lot.

Ford F-150 Raptor

Now, Raptor is Ford’s well-known beast. Despite the initial worries that the Raptor wouldn’t be powerful enough because it didn’t have a V8, just a turbo V6, Raptor still proved to be one of the most amazing off-road vehicles, thanks to its six drive modes. These modes include somewhat expected Normal, Sport, and Weather modes, as well as the Mud/Sand and the Rock Crawl made specifically for areas that are difficult to reach. Of course, there’s also the famous Baja mode that singlehandedly turned this vehicle into an instant classic. If you plan on crossing a desert terrain at high speeds (obviously), you’ll be thankful for this amazing Raptor mode. You will be blown away by the capabilities of the Ecoboost V6 that Raptor proudly uses.

RAM Power Wagon

For those of you needing an unpresedent off-road power, there is always the RAM Power Wagon. As you might expect, this vehicle is not for those who want a picnic on a flowery meadow or a relaxed drive through the countryside. RAM’s Power Wagon is all about getting the job done and its powerful 6.4L HEMI V8 engine is there to provide all the necessary energy. While RAM’s overall aggressive approach ambitiously takes on a number of challenges, the only thing you feel is a smooth ride as the raw power is absorbed with high-quality, Bilstein shocks. If you need some heavy duty work done on a daily basis, Power Wagon is the right choice for you.
