Taylor Swift Is Gonna Be In A Movie Where She Beats Up Samuel L. Jackson

Because stunt casting is a real thing, Taylor Swift has been cast in the movie adaptation of Mark Millar's comic book series, The Secret Service. And in case you want to know if this will suck or not, she plays a martial artist who beats up Samuel L. Jackson. Let that sink in. Mirror reports:

The American singer is the latest big name star to sign-up to director Matthew Vaughn’s huge budget spy caper, The Secret Service, I can reveal. Taylor, 23, who famously dated 1D star Harry Styles prior to their acrimonious split in February, joins a stellar cast including Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine. The movie – with a screenplay by Mrs Jonathan Ross Jane Goldman – is described as a 21st Century 007. The multi-Grammy winner’s character escapes after being kidnapped by a villain, played by Samuel L. She begins filming at the end of this year with the film due for release in November 2014. A production source said: “Filming commences in October and will shoot mainly in London and south of France. “Matthew looked at a number of actresses to play the part before settling on Taylor – apparently she was a natural on the big screen. “She’s also someone fresh and unseen in Hollywood terms which was massively appealing. “She will be required to have some heavy-duty martial arts training in order that her character convincingly kick Samuel L Jackson’s butt.

Also, this LOL:

“It will be Taylor’s biggest challenge to date but she cannot wait. “She is also looking forward to working with David Beckham whom she thinks is amazing looking – but taken.”

A martial artists? What's her weapon, a burn book? Is her costume unicorn footie pajamas and her ex-boyfriend's t-shirt covered in tears? Samuel L. Jackon must need a new pool at his house.
