There’s been a quiet rumor for a few years now that Jessica Simpson is a raging alcoholic. Papa Joe has kept it under control for the most part (not the most part: here, here, and here), but at the Marc Jacobs Fashion Show afterparty earlier this month, Jessica had a few drinks. What could go wrong? Star Magazine says:
Jessica was stumbling around the party slurring her words and barely able to stand,” says a Star Magazine insider, who claims Jessica was asked to leave the event just before dinner. “It was embarrassing! In New York, it doesn’t matter who you are. If you’re acting like a fool, no one will stand for it.”
Man, you’d think Jessica Simpson would be on the top of world with her new album debuting at #1 on the country chart. That is until you realize that it’s only sold 65,000 copies. And when you also realize that her last album, 2006’s A Public Affair, sold 101,000 in it’s first week. It has sold 299,000 since. Maybe Jessica Simpson can name her next album, Kidz Bop. That might help.
