Waving Lebanese flags, some marked "We've had enough", men, women and children gathered at the square which sat on a Christian-Muslim dividing line during Lebanon's 1975-1990 civil war. Mia Khalifa Left Porn Because Of ISIS Death Threats

Mia Khalifa’s porn career only lasted three months, but in those three months she became an adult film legend and one of the most controversial figures the porn world has seen. And though it’s been years since she left the adult entertainment business Khalifa still remains a super popular porn star. But there’s a dark reason why Khalifa decided to leave porn so abruptly.

Talking to Lance Armstrong on his podcast The Forward, because Armstrong apparently now has a podcast for some reason, Khalifa talks about what ultimately was the reason before her porn departure.

“It all started to spiral out of control when the death threats from ISIS started coming in,” Khalifa tells Armstrong. “That when I stepped away.”

The Lebanese-American caught the attention of ISIS when she performed in porn videos while wearing a hijab, which is when the social media death threats began.

Khalifa tried not to “show weakness.” Khalifa adds:

“That’s exactly what [ISIS is] looking for. I really try and just make it look like it rolls off, but I’ll admit, it gets to you after a while. I thought about it for two weeks and made the mistake of saying yes and going in. As soon as I started to gain popularity, that’s when I was like, ‘Get the fuck out of this’ … this was not what I was trying to do whatsoever

I just wanted to let loose and rebel a little bit. It didn’t validate me. Nothing like that ever does. That’s not what you should be doing to try and build your self-esteem.”

It’s a little bizarre that Khalifa chose the Lance Armstrong podcast as her platform to say all this. As you all remember, Armstrong is a disgrace athlete who was booted from cycling for taking PEDs and being an absolute tool. But hey, this interview sure is getting this crummy podcast more attention.
