Rachael Taylor began modeling for Skye-Jilly International and competed in the State finals of Miss Teen Tasmania. Her college English professor/modeling agent, Rebecca Miller, urged her to move to Sydney to advance her career. In 2010, Rachael Taylor took out an Apprehended Violence Order against then-boyfriend, actor Matthew Newton.
