Kimberly Jayne Raver was born in New York City on March 15, 1969. She got her start as an actress in the most adorable of ways, appearing on the children's television program, "Sesame Street" in 1975 when she was just 6 years old. She continued working on the show for three years. After this, Kim attended Northfield Mount Hermon School, a boarding school in Northfield, Massachusetts, before shipping off to Boston University in order to study in their fine arts program.

Prior to her big break in 1995 starring in the Broadway production of Philip Barry's Holiday (which also co-starred Laura Linney and Tony Goldwyn), Kim made ends meet by booking gigs in commercials. Some of her more famous roles were in a Visa commercial shot in Venice and one for Jeep which was shot by legendary filmmaker, Ridley Scott. After playing recurring roles on series such as "C.P.W." and "Trinity," Kim landed her biggest part yet in 1999, playing the part of Kim Zambrano on NBC's "Third Watch," a role she would wind up playing for five seasons.

At the end of the fifth season of "Third Watch," Kim decided to exit the series in favor of a role on the hit FOX drama, "24," where she would play love interest to the Jack Bauer character, Audrey Raines. After three seasons of doing so, she continued landing lead roles on series such as "The Nine," "Lipstick Jungle," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Revolution." In 2014, she reprised her role as Audrey on the revived "24: Live Another Day."
