Born Katherine Dee Strickland but known as KaDee, she’s an actress probably best known for her role as Charlotte King on the drama “Private Practice.” She was most recently cast in the CBS pilot “Doubt,” where she’ll play a defensive lawyer who gets romantically involved with a client who may be guilty.
KaDee Strickland was raised in Georgia and was Homecoming Queen, student council president and a cheerleader. She had no interest in acting until she took part in a high school play and then “destiny took over. There were no other options. I felt like I fit my skin, I knew what I was here to do.”

She later attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After she graduated, she moved to New York and later, Los Angeles. She is a self-described fashionista and “very concerned with looks.” She said in Los Angeles that she is surrounded by “super-human people…I’ve never seen so much beauty.”
She has been married to actor Jason Behr since 2006 and they have one child, Atticus Behr. She met her husband on the set of “The Grudge.” After her appearance in the film, she was called horror’s “newest scream queen.”
She said of her character's sexual preferences on "Private Practice:" "It's definitely not my comfort zone, and yet it's such a kick. There's always good humor attached...but beyond that, there's a sheer ridiculousness when you first read the script and have that moment where you might perhaps blush, because your mother and father are going to be watching.... I'm in bondage in the next episode, and my mother is like, 'I don't understand why they put you in that!' She gets very affected."
KaDee Strickland has also appeared in “Secrets and Lies,” “The Sixth Sense” and “Girl, Interrupted,” among other projects.
