Holland Roden is an American television and film actress. She is known for her roles in movies like "Bring It On: Fight to the Finish" and as Lydia Martin on the popular MTV series "Teen Wolf."
Born on October 7, 1986 in Dallas Texas, Holland Marie Roden grew up attending Hockaday School, which was also located in Dallas. While she came from a medical family, she was actually taken with acting from a very early age. It was her love of Queen Elizabeth II that had her performing her own one-woman plays for her family since age 6, often emulating the queen in her productions.

Of course, since her family did have heavy ties to the medical field, Holland still grew up with a strong knowledge of the subject. While acting may have been her true passion, it was her love of science which propelled her in the direction of Los Angeles. After high school, she went on to attend UCLA, where she majored in molecular biology. However, after only a year of pursuing the career path to becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon, she realized once and for all that it was acting that she wanted as a profession. Hence, she set out to achieve that goal instead, but still continued to attend UCLA and eventually earn a degree in women's studies.
Holland's professional acting career started off very promising, as she landed a recurring role on the HBO comedy "12 Miles of Bad Road" just two months after hiring an agent. Sadly, the series was cancelled before it even premiered, forcing Holland to scramble for new gigs. Fortunately, with her looks and talent, it was only a matter of time before she was able to book guest spots on every series from "Lost" to "Community," with roles in films such as "House of Dust" peppered in along the way. The year 2011 saw her biggest break, though, as she was cast as a lead character on MTV's "Teen Wolf," a series which has helped the young up-and-comer stabilize her place in Hollywood as she continues to pursue new and exciting opportunities.
