Eliza Jane Taylor-Cotter was born on October 24, 1989 in Melbourne, Australia where she went on to attend Calder High School. As one of four children, she first set herself apart from the others with her strong singing abilities by becoming a member of the Australian Youth Choir. From there, she continued to show off her chops as a young performer by studying at Drama with a Difference in her native Melbourne. This, of course, would eventually lead to a very successful television career.

By 2003, Eliza was cast in her first role on the Australian children's series "Pirate Islands" playing the role of Sarah Redding. The very same year, she took on not only the role of Rosie Cartwright on "The Sleepover Club," but arguably her most famous role to date as Janae Timmins on the very popular Australian soap opera "Neighbours." Eliza went on to star on the series for a number of years, ending her run on February 8, 2008.

Since "Neighbours," Eliza has gone on to make a very successful acting career for herself in the United States, first appearing in the short film "The Laundromat" in 2009, then gradually booking guest roles in TV series such as The CW's "Nikita." All the while, she's continued to expand her Australian acting resume as well, guest starring on series including "All Saints," "City Homicide," and "Mr. & Mrs. Murder." Eliza's biggest break in the U.S. came in 2014, when she was cast in not only the Pierce Brosnan film "The November Man," but also The CW's "The 100," where she plays lead character Clarke Griffin.
