Stephen Fry Announces Australian Comedy Tour

British comedian and actual genius Stephen Fry is packing his bags and heading Down Under this November, with plans to bring his thigh-slapping Telling Tales show to Australian audiences.

The English are entrusting us with their favourite actor, slash screenwriter, slash author, slash playwright, slash journalist, slash poet, slash comedian, slash TV presenter, slash film director, slash all-around national treasure, who has scheduled four performances across Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Sydney.

Fry, whom you might remember as Melchett from Blackadder, the host of BBC quiz show QI, or, if you’ve been to the movies over the past few years,The Master of Laketown in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, is promising to tell some of “the most marvellous stories ever heard in an evening of fun, frolic and uniquely Fryish delight”.

Tickets to see the UK’s most-slashed man in entertainment go on sale from 9am, Tuesday 1st September. Check out full venue and ticketing details below.

UPDATE 31/08/15: Due to tickets selling like organic beard wax at a hipster convention, Fry has added a third Melbourne show to his Aus tour on Wednesday, 11th November. Check out the updated details below.
