Original Comedy Series Spun Out Is Back For Season 2

CTV’s original comedy series Spun Out, starring Dave Foley, started its second season with a bang, including funnyman Russell Peters as a guest star – he played Nelson’s DJ brother.

Spun Out centres on Dave Lyons (Foley, Kids in the Hall), the head of an established PR firm, staffed with people who can spin everyone’s problems but their own. New this season, Beckett (Paul Campbell, Battlestar Gallactica) tries to execute the perfect casual relationship with a documentary filmmaker, Dave goes head to head with his ex-wife from a rival PR firm, and Stephanie (Rebecca Dalton, The L.A. Complex) must work with an old sorority sister whose oversized yoga line, “Blue Whale,” lands her in hot water.

“Season 2 of Spun Out brings a whole new set of hilarious adventures, successes, and failures for the DLPR gang,” said Phil King, President of CTV, Sports, and Entertainment Programming at Bell Media, in an official press release. “Viewers can also look forward to an incredible mix of guest stars, including Peters, Seán Cullen, Jennifer Tilly, Darrin Rose, and more.”

Earlier this year, the original workplace sitcom received four CSA nominations, including Best Comedy Series and Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Comedic Role (Foley). Spun Out won a CSA for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role or Guest Role in a Comedic Series category (Lauren Ash).

The new season of Spun Out is already rolling, airing Tuesdays at 8pm on CTV and on-demand via CTV.ca (http://www.ctv.ca/).
