Nintendo President Reggie Really Sucks at Super Smash Bros.

You’d probably think that the President of Nintendo of America would probably know a little something about Super Smash Bros., one of the company’s biggest game series, but as was demonstrated in the Nintendo World Championships that kicked off E3 2015, he could do with a little more practice.

Reggie Fils-Aime, the head honcho and main spokesperson for Nintendo’s dealings in the Western market, took to the stage during the Nintendo World Championships in order to take on professional Smash Bros. player Hungrybox in a one-on-one. While we expected Hungrybox would pick up the victory considering playing the game is his career, no one was quite expecting just how bad Reggie would be.

Playing as the newly announced Ryu from Street Fighter, who will be appearing in the Wii U game as DLC in the near future, Reggie took on Hungrybox’s Jigglypuff and proceeded to fall off the stage repeatedly, fail to land hits and generally not have a clue what he was doing. Needless to say, Hungrybox picked up the victory in convincing fashion, while Reggie took the defeat in good humor.
