The Vision Revealed in New ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer

We’re less than two months away from the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and still there are a few mysteries left to be revealed. Like the plot, for one thing. Although audiences have known for years that the artificially intelligent robot Ultron would be the bad guy, we still don’t know exactly what his scheme is. Unfortunately, this new trailer for Joss Whedon’s film doesn’t give us those answers.

The new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer does give us some new teases, including a shot of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) wielding Loki’s scepter, which has long been said to be one of the fabled Infinity Stones. We also get a few more details about Ultron’s origin and motives, and more hints than ever before that a romantic relationship between Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is in the cards.

But more importantly, this new trailer does give us our first look at Paul Bettany as The Vision, a character who has appeared only in silhouette on posters before. We still don’t see the Avenger in all of his glory, but the trailer does conclude with a shot of his eyes, looking all robotic and stuff.

Check out the new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer for new action sequences and even more hints about the plot that we probably haven’t noticed yet. What stands out to you? What gets your hairs standing on end?

Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres in theaters on May 1, 2015.
