Watch The First Teaser Trailer For ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp’

The long rumored Wet Hot American Summer miniseries was recently confirmed by Netflix when filming began. The entire cast from the Wet Hot American Summer coming back, and they won’t be alone.

Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Jason Schwartzman were announced as recurring cast members for “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.” The miniseries will serve as a prequel to the events of the Wet Hot American Summer film that came out in 2001. That means the stars are playing younger versions of their characters despite the passage of 14 years.

We’re just gonna have to go with that.

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” that shows very little in the way of new footage… but it does confirm that Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon and Michael Showalter are all back for the project.

But the most shocking thing about the teaser is that “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” will be released this year.

“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” will premiere this on Netflix.
