Did Tom Jones Calls Campbell Brown A Dickhead?

It seems not all the action was on the field during the AFL grand final. UK crooner Tom Jones, on hand to deliver some pre-match entertainment, made waves when he apparently called former AFL star Campbell Brown a ‘dickhead’ during a prematch interview on national television.

The alleged remark comes at the conclusion of the interview, after Brown presented Jones with a pair of underwear in a cheeky reference to a problem Jones has been plagued with for years — female fans throwing their knickers on stage. Jones accepts the gift in good humour but as Brown shakes his hand and turns away Jones’ utters what sounds very much like a well-timed “dickhead”.

On further playback it sounds as though Sir Tommy is simply being polite and telling Brown to “take care”. Upon hearing Jones’ parting comment Brown can be seen turning over his shoulder and giving Jones a smile. Whatever the case Brown appears to take Jones’ final words in good spirits.

Jones performed as part the AFL grand final halftime show, sharing the stage with fellow UK singer Ed Sheeran. Hawthorn beat Sydney 21.11 (137) to 11.8 (74) to win back-to-back AFL premierships, and their 12th overall. Take a look at the interview below.
