Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles Comes To Machinima In 2015

Back in 2013, animation icon Bruce Timm stepped down from his position as DC Animation Supervising Producer. But in 2015, Timm will be back in a big way.

DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Machinima have jointly announced a new animated short series called Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles. Timm will reunite with his “Batman: The Animated Series” collaborator, Alan Burnett for the project, which is an offshoot of the Justice League: Gods & Monsters animated film that will be released by Warner Bros. Entertainment in 2015.

The premise of Justice League: Gods & Monsters centers on an alternate universe where the familiar DC superheroes are much darker than their modern day incarnations. The Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles.animated shorts will focus on Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman as a way to introduce viewers to these versions of the classic characters.

Prior to this project, Timm has served as an executive producer of “Superman: The Animated Series,” “Green Lantern: The Animated Series,” “Justice League,” “Justice League Unlimited” and the previously mentioned “Batman: The Animated Series.”

In a statement, Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register said “We couldn’t be happier to be announcing our first new digital series today, and we’re even more excited that it’s a collaboration with such accomplished storytellers as Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett, who have been responsible for some of the most innovative and creative DC Universe projects. We can’t wait for fans to have a chance to see the world they have created when JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MONSTERS CHRONICLES debuts on Machinima next year.”

Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles is expected to premiere on Machinima in Spring 2015 in the weeks leading up to the release of the Justice League: Gods & Monsters animated movie.
