The Last Ship Debuts To 333,000 Viewers

SPACE’s new series “The Last Ship” premiered this past Sunday to 333,000 viewers, making it the top-watched specialty program on the network.

Executive produced by blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay (“Transformers”), the action-packed military series stars Eric Dane (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as the captain of a naval destroyer whose crew must confront a new reality when a pandemic kills off most of the earth’s population. Airing exclusively in Canada on Space, the 10-episode, one-hour series is based on William Brinkley’s popular novel of the same name. It also stars Rhona Mitra (“Strike Back,” “The Gates”), Adam Baldwin (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), and Travis Van Winkle (“Hart of Dixie,” “Squad 85”).

In the next episode of “The Last Ship,” called “Gitmo,” Chandler (who is played by Dane) and his crew head to Guantanamo Bay in hopes of collecting food, medical supplies and fuel, but they come under attack by escaped Gitmo prisoners. If you happened to miss “The Last Ship’s” broadcast debut, you can watch full episodes on Space.ca after their broadcast premiere.

The next episode of “The Last Ship” airs on Sunday, June 29th at 9pm on SPACE.
