Jack Coleman Returns For ‘Heroes Reborn’

Back in February, NBC made the surprise announcement that “Heroes” will be coming back as a 13 episode miniseries called “Heroes Reborn” by series creator, Tim Kring. At the time, NBC indicated that “Heroes Reborn” would feature all new characters. But there will be at least one familiar face along for the ride.

Deadline is reporting that Jack Coleman will be reprising his role as Noah Bennet for “Heroes Reborn.”

During the first season of “Heroes,” Coleman’s character was nicknamed HRG (Horn-Rimmed Glasses) by the fans before he was revealed to be the adopted father of Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere). Noah Bennett quickly became a fan favorite character and Coleman was promoted to series regular before the end of season 1.

Coleman has remained busy since the end of “Heroes” with appearances in “Burn Notice,” “Castle” and “Scandal.”

The Deadline report notes that NBC is also approaching other stars from the first run of “Heroes,” but Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia are reportedly not available. Hayden Panettiere and Masi Oka star on “Nashville” and “Hawaii Five-0” respectively, which may preclude any substantial involvement from their characters as well.

“Heroes Reborn” is slated to premiere on NBC in 2015.
