Leaked Document Reveals Windows 9 Could Release in April 2015

Microsoft might release Windows 9 in April 2015, according to a leaked document.

The document, obtained by well-known Microsoft leaker FaiKee and distributed by Myce, suggests that Microsoft could be making their new OS available to the public between Q2-Q3 2015, meaning that it could be arriving as early as April 2015. It also lists Windows Phone 9 as being made available within the same time period.

The document also mentions Cortana, Microsoft’s take on Apple’s Siri, which could well mean that it will be making its way to Windows 9, too.

While Windows 9 is listed as being in the alpha stage, it states that Office 2015 is in TP-CP1, the acronym for Technical Preview and Customer Preview 1, meaning that a public preview for the software could be making its way to us very soon indeed.

Microsoft has only recently released Windows 8.1, an update to its derided Windows 8 OS that rectified a number of its issues and made for one of the company’s smoothest, albeit still relatively unpopular, operating systems to date. Microsoft has remained quiet in regards to the upcoming OS, though rumors suggest that it will do away with Windows 8’s tile-based UI.
