X-Men: Days of Future Past Teaser Trailer Hits

It you felt a seismic geek-gasm this morning, that was probably just the moment the first teaser trailer for the crazy-anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past hit the interwebs and stopped everybody's day in its tracks for 2 minutes and 18 seconds.

With only 138 seconds to play with, there isn't much time to do more than show quick flashes of essentially three generations of movie X-folk: members of the Patrick Stewart-Halle Berry-Hugh Jackman original trilogy troupe; the First Class ensemble led by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender; and some of the mysterious new Future Past mutants, including Bishop (Omar Sy), Sunspot (Adan Canto), Warpath (Booboo Stewart), and Blink (Bingbing Fan).

But beyond the massive character lineups, we also catch some quick glimpses of villain Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), some nice Washington D.C.-based set pieces involving Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and…Richard Nixon?!?

No Sentinels and no sign of Quicksilver or the Scarlet Witch yet, but hey, they can't give away everything in the first teaser, right?

Take a look at the trailer above…and you can check out more of the ginormous cast, also featuring Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Josh Helman and Lucas Till, when X-Men: Days of Future Past storms U.S. theaters May 23, 2014.
