A quiet player, Allen has racked up 225 yards this season, 115 of which came – along with a touchdown – last week against Oakland. This week the Chargers play an Indianapolis team that is solid against wide receivers – allowing the 13th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. But Allen is a red zone threat and should be good for a touchdown. He’s absolutely worth using for a roster spot if you play in a four wideout league.
If you’re using the quarterback, why not compliment him with one of his tight ends. Even if you aren’t planning on using Foles, Celek could be a solid start since he had 47 yards receiving and a touchdown last week against the New York Giants. Although the Eagles don’t use the tight end much under Kelly’s system, Tampa Bay has allowed the ninth most fantasy points to tight ends. This start could go either way and is not a lock, so be careful with your decision.
With Michael Vick sidelined thanks to a hamstring injury – though he hasn’t completely been ruled out – the Eagles backup could be huge for your team this week. Foles and the Eagles will take on a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that allows 332 yards per game but only about 17 points per contest. He’ll inherit an offense that scores a lot – about 27 point a game. Watch to make sure he starts over Vick and if he does, you will be sure to get 12-15 points for sure.
McGahee has slowly been eased into his role with the Browns and continues to build upon his performance week by week. On 26 carries last week against Buffalo, he had 72 yards and a touchdown. This week he will take on a Detroit defense that has given up the sixth most fantasy points to the running back position. He’ll get the carries and should get the points.
Okay, so everyone on the Cowboys’ offense basically had a good week against Denver last week but Williams’ stock has been on the rise. He caught four passes for 151 yards and a touchdown last week – not too shabby for a guy that less than half of fantasy owners drafted. This week the Cowboys face off against a Washington defense that gives up 28 points per game. He’s sure to grab a few quick points if you’re in a pinch.
