Tori Spelling And Dean McDermott Get Canadian Reality Show

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, one of Hollywood’s most popular and profiled A-list couples, are getting a Canadian reality show that will be based on the renovations they’re doing to a cottage they recently purchased in Ontario.

“Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever,” which will air on CMT and HGTV in spring 2014, is already in production, as cameras are following the duo and their four children, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and Finn. Spelling and McDermott will be executive producers on the show.

Spelling is best known for her work playing Donna Martin on the hit 90s’ show “Beverly Hills, 90210,” while McDermott, who was born in Toronto, has appeared on such shows as the homegrown drama “Due South.” The couple appeared in their first reality show “Tori and Dean: Inn Love” (the working name for the first two seasons of the series until it was renamed “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” for the third season), which has endured a total of six seasons.

According to TheFutonCritic.com, “We’re excited to capture Tori and Dean’s dramatic lifestyle change as they embark on this new adventure,” said Joe Houlihan, Executive Vice President of Programming, Cineflix. “It’s a return to the familiar for Dean, but it’s a completely new experience for Tori, which will make for some fun and engaging TV.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Tori and Dean to Canada for this exciting new project,” said Vibika Bianchi, Vice President, Original Programming, Corus Women and Family. “Bringing the couple’s unique and genuine brand of humour to a rustic northern setting is sure to be a highly entertaining series and strike a chord with Canadians.”
