Universal may make time travel possible, at least for those who were around for the 1994 movie TimeCop. (Yes, Jean-Claude Van Damme was in a movie before The Expendables 2.)
According to Crave’s ComicBookMovie website Universal Pictures is considering remaking TimeCop for a new generation — and that’s without Jean-Claude Van Damme in the lead role. The movie is a near future tale of a police force designed to monitor time travel and catch people who use it illegally. JCVD’s character is attacked through time by a politician trying to secure a much more powerful future.
This was one of Van Damme’s seminal roles (sort of a funny concept in itself) so we’ll see what Universal decides to do with it.
