The Circle names SiriusXM host for Hulu revival
Tinx, the creator and SiriusXM radio personality whose real name is Christina Najjar, will host Hulu’s new version of The Circle, Variety has reported. The appointment marks a change for the reality competition. It aired for seven seasons on Netflix, with comedian Michelle Buteau as its host.
The revival will keep the show’s emphasis on social strategy and popularity. At the same time, it will introduce celebrity contestants and audience voting for the first time in the U.S. version. The series returns on November 17, with Hulu releasing three episodes each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The five-week schedule will end with a season finale on Friday, December 18.
As per the official synopsis, “Reimagined as a fast-turnaround social experiment, Hulu’s ‘The Circle’ brings together everyday players and celebrities to compete side by side in a game of popularity where identity is ever-changing, and anyone can be anyone. Filmed in real time, the series gives viewers exclusive access as twists and player ratings unfold, with audience votes shaping the game. This fresh take supercharges the original’s signature mix of strategy and deception into an addictive experience built for today’s always-on audience.”
The Circle revival is a joint production of Studio Lambert, Omaha Productions, and Motion Entertainment. Susan House will lead the series as its showrunner.
Meanwhile, outside The Circle, Tinx hosts It’s Me, Tinx, a live call-in program on SiriusXM that began in 2022. She will now take over the presenting duties as The Circle begins its next run on Hulu.
