Expert asks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make William and Kate-inspired move after school paparazzi scare
An expert says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could take a cue from Prince William and Kate Middleton after their kids’ paparazzi scare. Since returning to the UK, this is the second time they have changed schools for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Concerns about privacy and security have always been a major issue for Harry and Meghan. Hence, they were reportedly left deeply upset and disappointed when two photographers were seen lurking outside the new school.
According to reports, the paparazzi were carrying backpacks. Both private security and school staff spotted them. Royal expert Jennie Bond shared her views on the matter, saying that the incident must have been “incredibly upsetting” for Harry and Meghan. She explained to The Mirror that British outlets would not normally purchase or publish paparazzi photographs of Archie and Lilibet. But media organizations outside the UK may not follow the same rules.
Harry and Meghan have not revealed the faces of their children. Hence, Bond says that paparazzi may be particularly eager to get a glimpse of Archie and Lilibet. The expert explained, “I think part of the problem is that Meghan and Harry have inadvertently put a price on the value of the first clear photo of their children.”
According to Bond, a better strategy could be to follow William and Kate’s approach. They have regularly released portraits of their children on special occasions. Bond explained that the royal couple has chosen controlled ways to show the world their children’s faces. That way, they have eliminated the mystery and the risk.
In conclusion, Bond added, “We have been able to watch them grow from afar; press and public interest in them has been satisfied. And the value of any snatched photos has been negated. Perhaps the Sussexes should now follow that example.”
